Biography

Head of the 4th Department of Internal Security of the Security Council of the NK YUKOS. He was arrested on June 19, 2003 on charges of organizing the murder of the Gorin family on November 20, 2002 in the suburbs of Tambov, the explosion at the apartment of a former YUKOS employee Olga Kostina, the beating of Viktor Kolesov by the managers of Rosprom CJSC. On March 30, 2005, the Moscow City Court found Pichugin guilty of all charges and sentenced him to 20 years in prison. On April 14, 2005, Pichugin was charged with organizing the murder of the entrepreneur Valentina Korneeva, the mayor of Nefteyugansk Vladimir Petukhov, and two attempts on the entrepreneur Yevgeny Rybin. On August 17, 2006, having found the guilt proven, the Moscow City Court sentenced Pichugin to 24 years in prison.
