On this day, the director of the company “Group Menatep Limited” was in false shock

Criminal articles of Tim Osborne, the director of “Group Menatep Limited”, member of the Lawyers Society and senior partner of “Wiggin Osborne Fullerlove”. The website Prigovor.ru reminds its readers of what happened on April 24, 2007.

On this day, on April 24, 2007, the British newspaper “The Times” came out with a small piece with a vociferous title: “British lawyer accused over collapse of Yukos”. Frances Jibb, the legal editor of the newspaper, solemnly informed the audience that “Tim Osborne, 55, a member of the Law Society and senior partner of Wiggin Osborne Fullerlove”, “has become the first British citizen to be targeted by the Russian authorities in connection with the collapse of Yukos, the oil company”.

At present, he “is unable to carry on some of his usual work after being publicly accused of a criminal offence by the Russian Government”, reported the media outlet trying to move to pity British readers by yet another “awful story” from Russia.

“The lawyer, who has received no official communication about the allegation, was accused under Article 160 and 174 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation of embezzlement of assets and money laundering”, pointed out the newspaper.

“This was a complete shock”, told Tim Osborne to the Editorial Board of “The Times”. “I have had no contact with either the Federation or the prosecutor’s office”.

The British publication also said that Tim Osborne, among others things, was the managing director if GML (formerly Group Menatep), which “is in litigation with the Russian authorities”. The British newspaper refused to tell that the public face of ”GML” was Leonid Nevzlin, the ordering customer of murders and attempted murders, who had escaped to Israel. In order not to show that Tim Osborne is actively cooperating not only with economic criminals, but also those who have sullied themselves with a series of bloody crimes committed “for the benefit of Yukos”.

OSBORNE THE PRETENDER

Tim Osborne who told “The Times” that this had been “a complete shock” for him, banally mislead the author of the article, as it had been already reported publicly in August 2006 that the Office of the Prosecutor General of Russia had had an issue with a group of American and British top-managers of the company Yukos.

The essence of the issue was that Steven Michael Theede, the former president of the Oil Company Yukos, Bruce K. Misamore, the finance director, David Godfrey, a council on management of the company, and Timothy Osborne, the director of GML, are under suspicion that they “using their official position, they colluded with the purpose of misappropriation of foreign assets of the Oil Company Yukos. As the result, “the mentioned individuals illegally received a possibility to dispose at their own choosing of the stocks of more than 20 affiliates of the corporation which was itself an affiliate of the JSC Oil Company Yukos.

PACKAGED HYSTERICS IN THE PRESS

Moreover, at the same moment, in August 2006, three leading world media outlets – “The New York Times”, “The Washington Post” and “The Financial Times” – staged some “packaged” hysterics, having referred to the prosecution of the con artists as “vendetta”.

“So, half a year later, in April 2007, Timothy Osborne, the director of GML, tells to the Brutish newspaper that “it was a complete shock” to him, and that “he has had no contact”, and obviously, it was completely not interesting to him that he, a respectable and experienced, to all appearances, lawyer is suspected of committing actions under Article 160 and 174 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – embezzlement and laundering of monetary assets acquired by illegal means”, notes the website Prigovor.ru.
