Biography

On June 26, 1998, together with his accomplice Gennady Tsyhelnik, he shot the mayor of Nefteyugansk, Vladimir Petukhov, with a homemade Borz machine gun. In October 1998, he beat Viktor Kolesov in order to intimidate the managers of the Rosprom company. On November 24, 1998, he shot Yevgeny Rybin, the manager of the East Petroleum company. On March 5, 1999, he participated in the second attack on Yevgeny Rybin. After the explosion of the entrepreneur's car, the security guard Nikolai Fedotov was killed, two guards were seriously injured. He was detained in 1999. In November 2000, he was convicted by the Moscow City Court for the first attempt on Rybin for 11 years. During the second trial in the case of Pichugin, he fully admitted his guilt, stating that he carried out crimes in the interests of Yukos employees Alexey Pichugin and Leonid Nevzlin.
